To achieve metallic effects, various metallic powders, such as iron, aluminium, bronze or copper powder can be added to the A1.

Rust effect
Add the same weight amount of iron powder as the weight of A1 Powder when preparing A1. Once the iron powder is mixed with the A1, it is ready for use and can be applied in a die or on an object.

For best results, the applied layer of iron powder can be finished with a wet scouring pad or waterproof sandpaper. This will allow the iron particles to reach the surface.

Depending on your preference, the surface can be treated with hydrochloric acid or ammonia or another agent. This will accelerate the rusting process. Once the desired result has been achieved, the process can be stopped with water and baking soda. A1 Sealer can be applied to maintain the effect. If A1 Sealer is not used, the process will continue to take its natural course.
