THIBRA is a thermoplastic deformable material with extraordinary properties. It is very flexible and ideal for double-curved shapes and round objects. Corrections or changes can be made at any time, even after curing, as the material can be repeatedly heated. Therefore, remains of the modelling plate can also be stored and reused.
This innovative material offers special application possibilities. The numerous fields of application range from art & design to hobby & decoration to cosplay & theatre as well as model & prototype construction.
After Thibra has been heated to approx. 70°C in an oven or hot air dryer, the soft material can be drawn over moulds and profiles and thus offers an alternative to vacuum deep drawing. After curing, the moulded object can be processed by reheating or filling and grinding. After curing, THIBRA objects can be immediately painted (degreased beforehand). Due to the extremely smooth surface, priming is not absolutely necessary, but is recommended for the best possible adhesion of the lacquer.
